Probate Book 1832-186x, pp 72, Cherokee County, Georgia. Jane A. Hillhouse having given bond and security in terms of law is hereby appointed guardian to Amanda Jasper Hillhouse an illegitimate child of the said Jane A. Hillhouse. The clerk will issue letters accordingly.

P. 90 of the same book: It appearing to the court that Samuel Timmons having filed his bond in this court for the support and education and keeping the county issue of an illegitimate child Amanda, the issue of Jane A. Hillhouse of said county and it also appearing that the child being chargeable to the county and the said Samuel having failed to comply with as we believe the conditions of said bond it is therefore ordered by the court that the clerk of the court of ordinary hand over his bond to some responsible attorney at law and that suit be instituted against said Samuel and his security returnable to the next term of the Superior Court of said county.
