The identity of this cemetery is questionable. His wife is buried in the Pine Lawn Cemetery at Pelzer.
DEATH AFT 19 APR 1910
Researchers have long held that Milton died 12 January 1908 at Pelzer in Anderson County, South Carolina. However, his positive identification on the 1910 census of Greenville County obviously proves this to be an error.

Historical Notes

Milton apprenticed to become a Blacksmith in the home of his future father-in-law, John Adair, at the age of eighteen. He acquired the nickname "Moses" at a young age, as the result of his deep religious convictions.

On 10 January 1862, he enlisted as a Private in Company D, 22d South Carolina Infantry Regiment, at Columbia, for service during the War Between the States. In 1863, he was detailed to the 7th Battalion, South Carolina Infantry, at Jackson, Mississippi, to perform duty as a Blacksmith. In January 1864, he was further transferred to the Confederate shoe factory, at Columbus, Georgia, where he remained until the war ended.
The identity of this cemetery is questionable. His wife is buried in the Pine Lawn Cemetery at Pelzer.
