Historical Notes

According to the 1790 Census for Laurens District, South Carolina, the household of his parents contained two white free males over sixteen years of age, and three under sixteen. It is possible Robert was one of those in the latter category. However, due to the lack of information concerning him, it is also possible he died as an infant.
