Notes

During the 1836 Indian Wars, he served in Philpotts Company, 4th Alabama Mounted Volunteers. This company was ordered into service by Major George Jessup from 19 June 1836 - 19 Sept. 1836 signed up in camp "18 miles below Ft. Mitchell, Alabama." He was listed as a Corporal. The mustering out roll says the company only served to 22 July 1836.
